Eligibility Standards for Polytechnic

Students should go through the eligibility standards put up by the Uttar Pradesh Board of technical education for the polytechnic examination. The detailed eligibility standards are given below.

• The student should be an Indian citizen.
• The student should have cleared the secondary examination or equivalent examination from an institute/ board recognized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
• Students should secure passing scores in the compulsory subjects.
• The student must have Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Physics as obligatory subjects with any combination of other optional subjects to be eligible to apply for a Diploma in Pharmacy.
• The student must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh or stay in Uttar Pradesh for not less than 11 years previous to the filing of the application. Exceptions can be created if the students are wards of ex-servicemen or defense personnel.
• The student shouldfulfill an aggregate of 35% excluding additional subjects and according to the AICTE standards. No rounding of scores will be considered.
• Students who are sitting for their final exam are also entitled to apply.
• For lateral admission to engineering, students need to have completed 10th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The candidate should have completed 10+2 with the required aggregate and have pursued and passed an ITI degree/vocational degree in the relevant field for 2 years.
• The student must have Chemistry, Mathematics,along with Physics as compulsory subjects with any combination of other optional subjects to be entitled to apply for a Diploma in Engineering.
